Within the Forum of Food Industry and Packaging IFFIP 2018 conference-debate “Innovations in packaging and its polygrafy design” was held.

The conference gathered target audience and demonstrated the interest of Ukrainian manufacturers to the topic of packaging. The representatives of MacHOUSE company prepared an informative report about world tendencies of packaging market.

The trends of label and packaging market:

• Personalization in packaging;
• Development of digital and flexible printing;
• Hybrid printing;
• “Green” packaging;
• Development of packaging for Internet sale;
• Packaging for retail – shelf-ready-packaging;
• PS labels (pressure sensitive)
• Sleeve and in-mold labels.

The topic, which attracted maximum attention during the discussion, was environmental friendliness of packaging. This question is becoming very important for both consumers and manufacturers in Europe, whereas in Ukraine its significance is not a priority, though the issue is becoming more relevant every day and is turning into a necessity for exporters.
